Re: Android 5.1 installed Osmand 2.7.5

Subject: Move Osmand Maps to external storage Micro SD card
Problem: could not migrate Data storage folder (/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/net.osmand/files)to my external 32GB SD card (storage/sdcard1/)

In Osmand Map Storage

After "settings/General settings/Data storage folder/Manually specified",
I entered my external 32GB SD card (storage/sdcard1/),and the following   message popped up"Maps could not be created in specified directory".

I read in some posts, for some reason Osmand aps cannot access  removable sdcard,But nowhere I can find a solution

There is no more space for maps in my internal storage of my tablet.

Any body has a work around for this issue

What about /storage/sdcard1/Android/data/net.osmand/files ?
some users of Android 4.4.x/5.x may correct me,
but in Android 4.4.x there are full access troubles
for other folders than
/<DevicespecificPathtoSDcard>/Android/data/<applicationfolder>/

In Android 5.1 and later the restrictions get gradually loosened
and more options are available, but until A6 nothing great.

I have a Samsung S5 Neo SM-G903F
Android 5.1.1 rooted
OsmAnd~ 2.7.0#22830
Path /storage/extSdCard/Android/data/net.osmand.plus/files

Everything works without problems.

Thank you Peter for your advise.
Yes I tried that address to and that did not clear my problem.
My path to the SD card is clearly "sdcard1".
I have the feeling Osmand has no permission to read/write to external SD card.
I noticed from your response, your devise is rooted maybe that makes a difference.
I will try that and report the result.

Thank you poutnic for your response.
The path you quoted, did not work for me. In addition the path to my removable SD card is clearly "sdcard1"

Peter and Poutnic good news
I created a path (/storage/sdcard1/Android/data/net.osmand/files) on my SD card, and Osmand accepted the path.
Thank for your help
