Hi all,

So, about 6 days ago I added some footpaths to OSM for a walk I did near home. However, if I go into OsmAnd and use the online tiles, I can't see the new paths.

How long should it take for updates/additions to get to the online tiles?

(The start of one of the new paths: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/53.71602/-1.00930)

Depending on the zoom level this should be updated online within 2=3 days, but normally onto the highest zoomlevel within 24 hours..

Maybe OsmAnd caches too long.
Check your OsmAnd tiles folder. First make sure OsmAnd is closed.
Then use a file manager to go into /Android/data/net.osmand(.plus)/files/tiles/OsmAnd (online tiles).
This can be on your internal memory or your external sd-card. I do not know where you installed it.

Simply remove everything from this "/Android/data/net.osmand(.plus)/files/tiles/OsmAnd (online tiles)" folder.
Then OsmAnd can do nothing else then reload them.

Thanks, emptying that directory solved the stale map issue. 👍

I usually see edits reflected within a few minutes on the main osm tiles.

It's not really too long; it would be a bug if it didn't cache for a
long time. OSM's tile usage policy asks tile users to have a long
caching time, either to follow the header from the tile server, or a min
of 7 days:

For getting a new view from editing, I use osmand live, which I find
gets me edits from about an hour ago.
