Hi,

Is there a project to enhance the OSM editing and allow to implement new tagging presets (as you can e.g. in JOSM)?

Sincerely,

Severin

I don't know, but do keep in mind that editing OSM is not OSMAnd's
primary purpose.

If you are doing serious mobile device OSM editing, and are on Android,
you really want Vespucci instead:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Vespucci

It does support JOSM presets including custom JOSM presets, and it will
allow you to do far more powerful editing than OSMAnd will likely ever
include.

Hi,

Yes I know Vespucci but I feel there is a tool gap between editing in OsmAnd and a full editor as Vespucci. OsmAnd is focused on POIs but you are quickly limited by the current form, even for basic tags like short_name. Being able to add his own new forms would be really useful for day-to-day mappers as for people aiming at mapping a specific thematic of POIs.

Sincerely,

Severin

You can create a few presets for yourself using "Quick actions". From the menu, go to Configure screen, and then Quick action is the top option.
