data transfer: osmand does not offer to save data in file

got a new android, transfering data now. osmand surprises: it only offer saving via "teilen"/parting, but to import into new phone I need a file! how must I do this?

Hi!

You need to open Menu – Settings – Backup & Restore – Backup as file.

Select needed data, tap Continue, in share sheet, you choose app where OsmAnd transfer file. Some file managers can add "Save to files" action to share sheet, but unfortunately default Google Files can do it and this actions doesn't present by default.

This works for me, and one app that provides a file target is nextcloud.

it turned out not to be necessary: using a double-side-usb-c-cable + the google-own system transfer also my settings, favorites etc from osmand were luckily transfered from android 8 to 13 within the new phone.
