Management of proximity alerts: is it possible in OsmAnd?

Hi all,
As per subject, I'd like to know if there's some feature or plugin allowing to make OsmAnd giving a warning as soon as I get close enough (user-defined range) to a specified POI, favorite or waypoint.
No navigation directions needed, only the final warning, i.e. "Destination reached".

This would be so useful, 'cos I would not need to install addional apps for proximity alerting (i.e. Ultimate GPS Alarm or similar) and save a little space on my SD :-)

I've never tried this, but it might be worth a look: in Settings/Naviation settings/Announce...there are options to announce Nearby Favorites, Nearby POIs, and GPX waypoints. I don't see a user-defined option to specify how near is "nearby", but I could be missing something.
