I always use OsmAnd-arm-default.apk from
http://download.osmand.net/latest-night-build/ to test the latest
version of osmand but I have one small doubt: what is the difference
between this version (OsmAnd-arm-default.apk), OsmAnd-new-nightly.apk,
OsmAnd-nightly.apk and OsmAnd-r1.5-default.apk, please?

The structure is changed a little bit. But it is good to know that latest-night-build is not for general usage.
There are 2 very important things :
This is official nightly build of free version.
These are the builds to trace the problem back.
-------------------------------------
http://download.osmand.net/latest-night-build/OsmAnd-nightly.apk is a result  of full clean night builds (happens every hour).

It is good to mention now we are running 2 osmand version concurrently  :
1) With old C++ core (which consider to be stable now)
2) With new core (things are stable now but later could be destabilized), once the things will be finally stable, old core will be deleted.

Important remark : with new C++ core the complete application size (nightly build) > 30 Mb, that's why it is split into different platforms (arm, x86...). Which will probably change if this is will not be used.
