If I create a route, using  the Garmin Basecamp with the generic routable osm map, and i send it to my smartphone, I see that te route in osmand  is not following the footpaths but its making straight lines.
If I create a route with markingflags on my smartphone, using osmand, i see that the route is showed correct, following exactly the footpaths.
I don't understand why this is happening.

Please advice,,
Thanks.

Garmin softwares are creating non-standard GPX files, can be opened with Garmin devices only. Forget the BaseCamp...

try RouteConverter or GPSBabel to convert to "straight" gpx route/track.

Or you can try Justmapzz instead of Basecamp

This ist not a problem of Garmin GPX file, but a "route" in Garmin is defined by starting, intermediate via and points. The way in-between is calculated live in the tool/device.

Just create a track in besecamp, not a route with waypoints. Or maybe if you press the 'go/navigate' button Osmand will calculate the route be sure to slect the right profile (walking)
