OsmAnd 1.8.2 - serious problems - Empty WHITE map!

Hello,

I had very hard problems with your OsmAnd 1.8.2 version. I had to uninstall it at all and downgrade to lower version 1.7.

Can you communicate with me on this email adress? Maybe, I can send you wider description if I manage it, or can I upload a pack of data + app from my phone somewhere to Ftp, so you can analyze the situation?

 

The problem was, normal OsmAnd maps were missing on display! The app could search some addresses, could navigate by GPS to the destination, but the screen was withnout the map. There was only the vector of the planned routh..

 

This situation didn't start immediatelly after the upgrade of app to ver. 1.8.2, but started after I tried some configuration fields in cfg. But, I didn't change them very much and most of them I later reverted to their previos values. But, there was a mysterious persistence of error state initiated before..

 

In my Samsung Gallaxy Note 2, I have about 8 different navigations or map softwares. I had tried them but finally I am using your OsmAnd maps and navigation. These other maps have their own map data, but your OsmAnd 1.8.2 started to find these maps and displayed them instead of the main map. Somewhere here is the error and "the mysterious persistence" because, although I don't remember properly what have I changed in cfg, it gives no satisfying result when I change some setings around maps source etc.

I have seen here on display, instead of OSM maps, some raster maps from one quite silly map app, later I saw only the vector map of public transport in our city of Prague. This public transport map I sometime have tried to display over the normal map, as a Overlay map. This is the place where this path to that map comes from. And, additionally, this is the map downloaded in OsmAnd. But, of course, Overlay (and Underlay) maps I have deactivated in this situation.

 

When I moved to some place on my "white map", e.g. by Searching some address, there was displayed message, cca "There exists offline vector map for this area. To display it, go to the cfg - Map layers - Offline vector map..." or simillar. But this cfg was either already active or didn't help.

 

But later I found out that in very closer Zoom lever the OSMand map suddenly starts to display. This could be the next root of the error, something with calculating around what map to display at which zoom level...

 

I tried also to deactivate some plugins, with no result. I have data of Coutour lines and Hillshade, and one plugin to display one of this data...

 

Can we solve this error in version 1.8.2 ? I have registered version and this is my main map app now!

Please do the following:
- reinstall 1.8.2.

- Start it.

- Immediately stop it.

- Go to your "Maintain Apps"

- Go to OsmAnd

- Stop OsmAnd

- Remove Data (do this!)

- Uninstall OsmAnd

- Reinstall OsmAnd 1.8.2

Try again
