I use OSMAnd a lot for my bike rides. I just don't understand the routing sometimes.

Usually I set markers and then make a route by adding them to the route. Then when I get close to the intermediate point I often delete it (because sometimes it doesn't get deleted by itself) and hey! the route just got 2 km longer! Then somewhere far up the route it takes a different routing decision than it did before.
I don't get that. Why is the route dependant on where you are on the route.

And then there is this. For some reason it decides it is better to turn around, go back and take a longer route then just go on. Over an unpaved track no less.
Routeparameters: fastest route on, driving style: shorter routes.

hey, I ain't perfect, as much as you aren't, presumably. it's always good to keeps the brains "on", even while using osmand. because otherwise you couldn't laugh about its sometimes silly choices ;-) (I do have at least a laughter a day while driving with lady osmand)
