Hello Everybody.

Recently, I got an OTA update to Android 11, from Android 10: at my Samsung A40.

Ever since that moment,  Osmand+ is terribly slow and troublesome. The same applies for some other applications.

I already uninstalled and reinstalled Osmand, while restarting my phone a few times.  The problem persists.

What to do next? Factory reset? Or anything else?

Yours.

You could try moving the storage to the shared space. Just an idea but I vaguely remember a similar problem when I moved to Android 11

What is the 'shared space'? The SD card? Some part of it? Something else?

I mean moving the osmand folder from Android/data to the root. In osmand,
Settings>osmand settings>Data storage folder. Change storage folder: Shared memory.
Fingers crossed!

I am experiencing the same issue: since I updated my phone to A11 (LOS 18.1), Osmand+ began to work very, very slowly and laggy. The app has been re-installed after upgrading the OS, so there shouldn't be any old legacies lying around.

Osmand offers the following storage places on my phone:

- internal app memory: hidden from users and other apps (no location shown)

- shared memory: /storage/emulated/0/osmand  (that's the one I am using now)

- external memory 1: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/net.osmand.plus/files

- multiple user memory 1: /storage/emulated/0/Android/obb/net.osmand.plus (in German: "Mehrbenutzer-Speicher 1")

- manually specified

Which one do you suggest I should try to make Osmand speed up a bit?

Some of your applications are not meant to be install in your android it means you must delete the apps that are giving you that problem OK.
