Hello, OSM community of Slovakia!

Our team has been mapping missing roads since May 2024, as described here: Mapbox Organized Editing, Missing Roads

This project has been a success, and we are expanding the effort to European countries, including Slovakia. We’re sharing notice here to ensure that OSM community of Slovakia has adequate notice, consistent with the Organised Editing Guidelines.

Náš tím mapuje chýbajúce cesty od mája 2024, ako je popísané tu: Mapbox Organized Editing, Missing Roads

Tento projekt bol úspešný a rozširujeme ho na európske krajiny vrátane Slovenska. Zdieľame tu oznámenie, aby sme zabezpečili, že komunita OSM na Slovensku bude mať dostatočné upozornenie v súlade s Usmerneniami pre organizovanú editáciu.

We appreciate your interest in our project. Indeed, the detection of missing pedestrian crossings falls outside the current scope of our project, as our efforts are dedicated to mapping highways rather than pedestrian roads or crossings. Regrettably, we do not possess the mechanisms for identifying missing crossings or similar features. If any future projects related to pedestrian paths or crossings arise in Slovakia, we will inform your community to foster collaboration in enhancing OpenStreetMap data in Slovakia.
