What does it do ?

Hi,
I could install osm2garmin, launch the application and define regions.
The application worked several hours and seem blocked now since nothing happens (see the printscreen). I don't know what the application does, and even if it is still doing something.
I deplore the application does not give more feedback to the user about what it is doing.
My purpose in using osm2garmin is to produce maps (*.img) that I can copy on my Garmin. I would appreciate any explanation about how to complete this process.

You must open the Output window to watch the application progress and messages.

I am having the same issue. I set it to "skip planet update" and only download USA-East and West since that is all I need. Yet it sits there, not doing anything, stuck at "overall progress 12%". Output window is blank. I do not want the entire 45-200GB planet files on my system since I do not have much space on the primary 128GB SSD and still only 60GB free on my 500GB backup drive. I have the program set in the processing parameters to use the related folders on the 500GB D: drive.
When the program first starts up, I do see this in the Output, but once it finished "creating contours for usa_east", the output windows clears:

Preparing region usa_east directory.
Preparing region usa_west directory.
Found 2 regions to process.
Planet file download started.
usa_east contours update started.
Resuming broken download of planet-150906
Bad response code from server 404 - Not Found.
Download error.

So how do I get it to progress without forcing the download of the entire planet files? All of the settings and servers are default servers that come with 1.2.271.

For download method, I have to use HTTP since torrents are blocked by my connection.

The software needs to download the entire planet file. If you do not have a lot of space available (150 Gb as a bare minimum), this software is not suitable for you.

I created another post in this group, "Stops at 12%" which I found is a bigger issue. I switched to another system with enough hard drive space.
