Really odd behaviour in examples?

Hi all,
I recently built osm-gps-map and the examples from the latest github,
and I notice that now when I drag the map around it doesn't update until
I release the mouse button. Obviously this make it pretty much
impossible to position the map accurately.

Is there some odd thing I've missed that will get the old behaviour back?

yeah, this got broken in the port to gtk3.

I need to fix it up again (the code is there but commented out)

Hopefully I can get to do this sometime this weekend, as I finally need to use osm-gps-map in a gtk3 project.

If anyone else is interested they are welcome to hack on this too.
