Hi,

As there is no rpm I tried building from source but configure complains:

checking for glib-2.0 >= 2.16... no
configure: error: Package requirements (glib-2.0 >= 2.16) were not met:

Package 'glib-2.0' not found

My installation is up to date but it only has glib-1:1.2.10-75.fc42.x86_64

Is there an easy workaround please?

Not a workaround, a simple fix: sudo dnf install glib2

John,

dnf install glib2

reports

Package "glib2-2.84.4-1.fc42.x86_64" is already installed.
Package "glib2-2.84.4-1.fc42.i686" is already installed.

Nothing to do.

You probably also need the glib2-devel package that provides the png-config and header files. The same is likely true of the rest of the dependencies (tests begin at  https://github.com/nzjrs/osm-gps-map/blob/639ea5e02d2cb47cbc15554d61b1ba6b0ee073b6/configure.ac#L25). The package names don’t necessarily align with the library name so you’ll need to search the fedora package repo at https://packages.fedoraproject.org/.
