Hello Amy,
I am forwarding your mail to the OpenStreetMap-Haiti mailing list
(
http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-ht/2010-February/thread.html)
where someone may be interested and decide to import these schools in
the OSM map of Haiti
(
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Haiti).
(Actually, I am interested, for one.)
I appreciated very much watching the first two videos.
Would you have accompanying information that would add value to the GPS
data ? Like for instance
- school names (the GPS file only contains info like "SCHOOL TAG 001"
(to "SCHOOL TAG 035")),
- or links with the videos (like time codes corresponding to GPS
locations),
- or anything else that you would like to make publicly available...
Or maybe, you or Luke will find it more convenient to add this info
once the schools' locations are on the map ? (With OpenStreetMap tools,
they are designed to be easy to use for everybody, including
non-specialists).
Anyway, let's get going and see where this goes.
Best regards,
Jean-Guilhem

Hello all,
I'm forwarding an email from Luke Renner of Fireside International
with GPS data for over 30 schools that he's personally visited and
assessed in Port-au-Prince. I'm not a GIS person... I was directed to
this listserv by folks at Crisis Commons because I was trying to find
someone who could use Luke's data. Would you guys be able to use this
data?
I'd appreciate a ping back so I know whether I've found the right
place for this.
Best,
Amy Moffitt

Hello all,
Thanks to Amy for connecting us to the wonderful work that all of
you are doing. I have attached a .gpx file containing the GPS
coordinates for 35 schools. As we continue working, I will be
collecting more to share.
Please feel free to let me know if there are things that you need
that I can also be getting while I am out running around.
In service,

Hi Tim,
I don't know what kind of
resources you guys have on the ground, but I've been very impressed
with Luke's work and his apparent connections in the community. I'm
copying Luke on this email so that you guys can be in touch. You can
also follow Luke on Twitter at @firesideint
