Hi there,

i am quite new to brouter, so please allow a 2 possibly beginner questions:
I normally track my bike routes with Osmand.

1.
When i import it to brouter as track, i just get the blue track without any points and any possibility to adjust anything.
When i try 'load track as route' and import the same gpx-file i don't see anything -
no track, no route.
What am i doing wrong here?

2. How accurate is the hight calculation on the travelled route? Its probably not too god, as the resolution is normally 90m for each track point, or 30 m in the best case but with errors.
So lets say on a 70km biketour it say 1500 hight meters - how big could the error be (max. and average)? My area is Germany, the Odenwald (east of Bensheim, Heppenheim).

Thank you!

Don't know, works for me. Can you re-check with a GPX that you exported from BRouter-Web? Just to exclude an issue with your GPX.

When you look at something like this, you can see it's very accurate:

it's a few meters too low, as in fact there are some minor downhill sections that are filtered out by BRouter's height formula.

Some other tools are adding "elevation noise" and report a much higher number for the uphill meters. But  that's not what your legs measure as the "uphill cost"

Thank you for your quick answer.

The gpx-file comes directly from Osmand app. When i import it to brouter i only get a blue line (track), i dont get the route.
gpx-files exported from brouter work - they come directly as route with all points.

The problem could be, that Osmand write the gpx-file not in a proper way for brouter. Use for example a software like  Routeconverter, open the file and save it with Routeconverter. Hope that helps.
