We had three resident FCM projects from IHC accepted at STFM for Annual Spring Conference, woohoo! Congratulations to the following presentations:

Behind on Colorectal Cancer Screening: Catching up from the rear (Robert Shi and Laura Slattery)

Improving early childhood fluoride varnish application rates at Indian Health Center Family Medicine Center (Yuan Zhang)

Identifying barriers to breast cancer screening compliance at a federally qualified health center (Yuan Zhang)

Looking forward to enjoying beignets together!

If your project was not accepted, you can trial a new project during your next FCM cycle or enhance your submission with the new continuity clinic. There are thousands and thousands (Steve would be able to give a more exact number) of submissions each year. My first submission during residency was also rejected so do not be discouraged!

Next year's STFM in 2027 will be in Chicago and is also STFM's Diamond (60th) Anniversary. I am on the Diamond Anniversary Party Planning Committee so hope to see more of you at the next one which is guaranteed to be a fun time 🙂
