6th Annual Medical & Bioscience Education Day Conference / SIMEC VIII
Saturday, May 13th in Berg Hall, LKSC
|
The Teaching and Mentoring Academy and the Stanford Health Professions and Education Scholarship (Formerly CTSS) are pleased to invite abstract submissions for
concurrent workshop sessions and presentations of research at our 6th Annual collaborative Medical & Bioscience Education Day/SIMEC conference. This conference will be held in person on the
Stanford School of Medicine campus.
This year’s conference theme is Creating Positive Learning Climates, and for this event we are considering learning climate broadly, to include all factors that contribute to creating
learning spaces where learners and educators feel engaged, effective, and like they belong there. To this end, we seek workshops and presentations of scholarship related to instructional design, instructional delivery, assessment, creating a sense of belonging,
addressing issues of identity and equity, attending to wellness (for teachers and learners), and more. Your work may focus on strategies to enhance the climate of a learning interaction in the classroom, lab, or clinical setting, or you may choose to focus
on strategies to enhance the climate of your department or institution, as each of these spheres ultimately work together to impact the teacher and learner experience.
Visit our
website for examples of concurrent workshops and poster sessions from last year’s conference.
