Anyone available and interested to join me to teach this via Zoom? I have a slide deck already so very little prep; would just need you to review the slides and decide which ones you would like to lead.

Subject: Invitation to Speak: "Current Issues in Reproductive Health"

Dear Dr. Jiang and Dr. Rydel,

I hope this email finds you all well! My name is Edo Ighodaro and I am a second-year medical student serving as the Teaching Assistant for the course, Current Issues in Reproductive Health (OBGYN 216) offered at Stanford Medicine.

It was wonderful having you both speak at OBGYN 216 this past year, and I am writing to invite you back to be speakers for the course in the Winter Quarter of 2024. Many students in the course last winter found your session “Family Med: A Perspective in Family Planning ” to be incredibly impactful. I know how valuable it would be for students to learn about the barriers/issues related to family planning, as well as hear about your professional journeys.

If you are interested and available, it would be wonderful if you could join us on: Monday, 2/5/2024 from 12:30-1:20pm (location zoom).

A quick refresher about the course: Current Issues in Reproductive Health is a lunchtime seminar series led by Dr. Druzin that aims to provide students with exposure to a range of topics in reproductive health that are not part of the core curriculum. The class is typically comprised of pre-clinical students (most of whom are first-years) from the MD, PA, and genetic counselor programs.

Please let me know if you would like to speak at OBGYN 216 again next Winter. I hope you will be able to join us! If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Thank you so much for your time, I greatly look forward to hearing from you two.

Sincerely,

Edo Ighodaro

TA for OBGYN 216
