Configuring connection pool

is there a simple way to configure the properties (e.g. max active
connection) of a connection pool ?

Ack... sorry for the late reply.

Presumably you mean simple-jndi. There's no way currently to add configuration.

You'd need to modify PoolSetup to either look for System properties or
variables in JNDI.
