Here’s a cool National Academies workshop happening Monday if your calendar isn’t already booked (sorry for the late notice—I’m just finding out about this too). I’m not sure how far this effort will go in terms of policy making, but some very high level and thoughtful people have been involved so far (including our own Keith Yamamoto, Brooks Hanson, and Brett Bobley).

Dear Colleagues,

 

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Roundtable on Aligning Incentives for Open Scholarship will organize a one-day public workshop in conjunction with its Fall 2022 meeting. The workshop will explore actions being taken by various stakeholder organizations to foster the broad adoption of policies and practices in support of open scholarship. It will bring together participants from universities, scholarly societies, federal agencies, and private research funders. A Proceedings of a Workshop--in Brief will be prepared by designated rapporteurs and distributed broadly. This workshop will be on December 5th, 2022
 
The public is invited to register to join virtually.
