Environmental Sustainability Policies

In our organizers' facebook messenger chat, a concern was raised highlighting the environmental harm of leaf blowers, gas mowers, chemical sprayers, and more tools that pollute in our community. Other organizers raised concerns that limiting types of tools the OTL carries would maintain the status quo of every household buying a leaf blower, gas mower, etc. when they see fit. A middle ground resolution was raised and edited with feedback from the group, as shown in the screen grab above. A veto was raised stating the process of creating any resolution was not yet approved by the group, thus this resolution is potentially damaging to OTL. This feedback is valid as we have yet to finalize our bylaws and need to do so before voting on policies. Thus, the resolution was not adopted.

That all said, this forum post can be a discussion board for future environmental considerations and could be a potential source of future policy resolutions once the bylaws/decision proceses are formalized.
