Fwd: Free Software based WebGIS for Local Level Development by IRTC, Palakkad

I am happy to inform you all that IRTC has successfully completed and
launched a WebGIS site, based on Free and Open source platform.
This site, “WebGIS Based Decision Support System for Watershed
Development of Panchayaths in Kerala” is available at
www.keralaresourcemaps.in
Presently this WebGIS portal has database of 44 Panchayaths of
Kozhikkod district. The database include the resource data and
proposed intervention for local level development. We are in the
process of adding more Panchayaths into this database.
The entire work has been done using Free and Open Source GIS Software
tools like GRASS, QGIS, Mapserver, PostgreSQL-PostGIS and Cartoweb on
Debian GNU/Linux platform.
Comments and suggestions to improve the portal are welcome.
