Final 2.0 release imminent

A 2.0 branch was never created. The 2.0 rc1 tag was made from trunk as svn r13,
back in March. Trunk contains r14 through r58, with r58 committed about 6 weeks ago.
I believe the right thing to do is to create a 2.0 branch (for possible future
maintenance releases), again off trunk, containing everything up to and
including r58. Then I'll immediately tag the official 2.0 release.
Unless there are objections, I'll move forward with this in a few hours. (Sorry
to do this on a Saturday. I'm not trying to pull a fast one or anything, but if
this was the wrong thing to do, certainly we'd have heard of problem reports
sometime in the past six weeks.)
