The port of the SLoodle project to OpenSim is underway! SLoodle
(
http://www.sloodle.org) is a distance learning program for SL type
environments that connects to a Moodle (
http://moodle.org/) set of
courses for copmuter based instruction. In the first day we were able
to get the SLoodle package to login to a Moodle server. There is still
a good deal of work to be done. But, it looks promising and is
progressing rapidly. The nice folks at Reaction Grid setup a region to
help facilitate work on the port.
The SLoodle development team is very dedicated and have developed a
very comprehensive application. And, I'm very excited that it is being
brought to OpenSim and look forward to the many uses we can apply this
technology to.
Anyone wanting to check out the system can pickup the developers kit
at the landing in Sandbox Plaza. Please find the included note card of
resources and contact me if you are interested in helping with this
project. Also start thinking about developing courses for OSGCC or
Metaversity (See
http://moodle.org to get started).
Thanks!
