The US public school system is under attack by powerful people like Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, who want to undermine unions, privatize schools, and transfer billions of taxpayer money to their friends. The first schools slated for closure are in predominantly African American cities like Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Chicago. Chicagoans are on front lines of race and class war being waged by the 1% which will determine if our children have a future.
