What I experienced on the course where I play most often is that my tee shots, when struck solidly, were winding up in the same places they do with the other balls I play. (I normally play the Callaway Chrome Soft or Srixon Z-Star.) And the same was true for approach shots of various distances. I generally hit my 8-iron about 150-155 yards in the air, and when I had that shot with the Kirkland ball, and struck it solidly with the same club, they were pretty much ending up close to pin high.

Each time I open Photoshop and, regardless of what I am doing, it goes into a continuous spinning beach ball and needs to be force quit. I have tried this with all other apps closed and still the same problem.

A few weeks ago I deleted the 'brushes.psp' file from the PS settings folder as I was having delays in opening PS and that problem was solved immediately and doesn't seem to have returned. Even now, the app opens quickly but then, as I say, it goes cactus after a couple of minutes.

This was the GO TO ball for Nationals on the Team pattern, clean but strong enough cover for me to get through the oil with plenty of engine to make the corner from steeper angles. The Huntsman core doesn't get quite as forward for me as some stronger asym cores tend to do which makes this ball useable on house patterns as well!

Don't know how to explain it, but I feel like this ball just DRIVES through the pins like a truck going downhill and the brakes are shot. Nothing but POWER. Been using this since street date and I absolutely love it. Got the front 7 straight out the box.

So far this is making the Effect very controllable and predictable. The biggest thing I've noticed after 8 games is don't slow it down too much. I have to use the same speed with the Effect swinging from 28 over 15 as I do using my Sensor Solid or Deadly Rattler going 18 over 9 or 23 over 12. The Effect is a full zone stronger with the same speed and release.

After my challenge league tonight, in which I was very inconsistent, we did 2 winner take call cash games. On a different, freshly oiled pattern. I was low man game 1, spent that game figuring out should I be left or right, max rev, low rev, etc. I ended up 20 over 10 with an easy release with medium to high revs and maybe 40 degrees rotation. Shot 266 gm2, and the 2 missed shots were purely my fault (like missing the head pin left once). The Effect was stellar, bailed me out on 2 shots, and the continuation thru the deck? What can I say other than the others were making comments about it. The worst deflection I can recall was off the deck about the 17 board. Most were between 20 and 25.

I see why so many are already calling this the ball of the year. I foresee the Huntsman core having the kind of reverence the Gas Mask has attained. You will want to experience this ball for yourself, it's that damned good.

Great angular ball off the spot. For ME this remind me a lot of the first Blood but with WAYYY more pop. Ball takes surface change very well in can be that versatile ball that's very dependable.I suggest putting your favorite or most proven drilling into this ball. Strong motion but very controllable. For the crackers have fun opening up the lane EARLY!

The song is best known as world's introduction to the Atlanta duo of Andre Benjamin (he'd not yet added the "3000") and Antwon "Big Boi" Patton, and as the lead-up to their classic debut, 1994's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. Yet if you've listened to the album version you may have wondered about the strange edits to the song's lyrics. The LP version of "Player's Ball" features a few N-bombs, some references to "indo" and other illicit activities that go uncensored, but for some reason other words are replaced with silence or the echo of the preceding lyrics. Why? Because before the "Player's Ball" that Pat "Sleepy" Brown sings about on the chorus as was happening "all day, ev'ry day," it was going down on "Christmas Day."

A decade later, on an early December afternoon, I found myself navigating a huge department store in midtown Manhattan. I braved the hordes of overly-excited, Christmas consumers to take advantage of pre-holiday sales. (At that point the only stuff I could buy, even for myself, had to be on sale.) The deal-thirsty crowds, tantrum-throwing children, perfume snipers, and corny blaring Christmas song piped into the store overloaded my senses. Just as I hit peak anxiety, ready to run screaming, the Christmas version of "Player's Ball" came on, calming me down and even inspiring a smirk. I don't think anyone else noticed Big Boi rapping about serving junkies on Christmas but me. This was a Christmas Miracle of retail-store, holiday-music programming. I reveled in it. Hearing the song felt like a gift. Suddenly I was in the spirit of the season too.
