Hey Exec Team!

VoterHub has responded that they're also a category 4 (progressive only vendor) so this means we should send a loomio for them to join as well, yay!

Mostly questions for Josh but in case anyone else has the background on this: Would we assume they are joining gov? Do you know why ShareProgress didn't come on initially as gov member? Should that be the default for an org/company under category 4?

Historically, our general mode has been to start new members off in tech, then evaluate and promote from there. Being a governance member (along with the power of it) is a more selective benefit. The governance committee is OSDI's version of a board of directors. Officers are similarly precious. At the current time, in practice, we are looking to replace some vacant seats.

Tim and Broadstripes are an example of this promotion Tim demonstrated passion and contribution in OSDI. Then we recognized that by promoting Broadstripes and seeking his participation as an OSDI officer.

In general, I would suggest keeping governance as a highly trusted subset. Tim as someone who got promoted, what are your thoughts?
