Sorry for the off-topic post, but I thought seeing as you all use open software and care about freedom, you might also care about freedom of speech. Please support this cause, it is so important that we stand up for our democratic rights. I'll be there giving my voicebox a good exercise :)

RALLY TO PROTEST THE BAN ON PEACEFUL ASSEMBLY ON THE GOLD COAST

 

The Gold Coast City Council has passed new laws that ban peaceful assemblies in all Gold Coast Council parks.

 

Assemblies will now only be allowed at Evandale or Nerang Council chambers - and only with the permission of the Council CEO.

 

THIS IS AN ATTACK ON DEMOCRATIC RIGHTS!

 

WE NEED TO STAND UP TO THE COUNCIL!

 

A rally will be held outside the next council meeting - please be there and lend your support!!

 

Monday May 26th

(council meeting due to start at 1pm)
