[Seisunix] Segdread failled

Hi, Unable to read SEGD data from land recording system "Sercel 408 "SEGD rev 2, 8058 format". The 41 SU release was used without success. How to manage the SU command segdread to read raw SEGD data from Sercel 408/428 ?   Thanks for your help   Philippe

Hi

Maybe the sercel 408 suffers from the same problem as the sercel marine SEAL
system. In this case I have a hacked version I worked on with Dirk Klaeschen
(IFM-Geomar) of segdread that switches off the extended header option that is
always assumed if the manufacturer is identified as a sercel. (If you need
the extended headers then you have to add an extra flag on the command line
sn358=1). See attached.

Philippe, Try to recompile sfinstall using gcc-2.95 or an earlier version of gcc. Worked for me.
