Hello everyone,

I'm a student in MSc Exploration and Applied Geophysics that would process my GPR datas using Madagascar. I know that the software it's oriented more on seismic datas than GPR ones, but I want to try just simple processing (Bandpass filtering, Background noise attenuation, Static correction, Gain , Post Stack Migration) for my thesis. There are two main problems:

1)Where can I find how all the programs that I use work? / Can someone please explain better to me how the programs below work?
I already saw the wiki, but the descriptions are very short or inexistent, same for the input parameters.

2) Which programs fit better with those processing steps?

For the moment I have "matched" those programs:

Bandpass filtering: sfbandpass (using sfspectra for low cut and high cut frequency choice)

Background noise attenuation: sfsimidenoise
Which kind of "similarity" parameter I need in order to make it work? What should I put inside that similarity.rsf file? What is the "threshold" parameter?

Static correction: sfstretch
How is the "datum.rsf" file made? What does it contain? Which numerical parameter should I take for V0(moveout velocity)? I'm not sure that this program fits well what i want to do in this processing step

Gain: sfagc

Migration: sfkirchinv
What are all those .rsf files that i have to insert for the input? How can I create them?

Sorry for the loooong read, but for the work that I want to do it is essential knowing perfectly all the steps of the processing and how they work.

Best Regards

P.S.: See you all at the conference in June!
