Hello!
Recently, I am using the Madagascar's program "sfgrey" to map the seismic gather. But I meet some problems,and I really need your help.
When I use "sfpen " to draw the picture, the background color of image is black. I want to change it to white. How can I set the parameters. I use the command "sfgrey<filein.rsf backcol=7 color=e> out.vpl", but it does't work.
What's more. When I use the command "vpconvert file.vpl format=eps". The converted picture loses it's color.How can I convert the picture without loses it's color.

Hello,

To get a white background you can put this at the top of your SConstruct:

import os
os.environ['SFPENOPTS'] = 'bgcolor=w'
from rsf.proj import *

Cheers,

Aaron

The parameter "half=y/n" in the command "sfnmo". It's difficult to understand. And I want to know when should I set the parameter "half=n" or "half=y"?
And what does it mean?

Sean,

The half= parameter specifies whether the input data is sampled in offset (receiver-source) or half-offset (receiver-source)/2.

Your questions are not about the development of Madagascar. It might be better to address them to the Madagascar user mailing list (rsf-user instead of rsf-devel): https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/rsf-user

Sean,

On the command line, you can simply add bgcolor=w to sfpen.

As for the second question, running

vpconvert file.vpl format=eps

is using pspen. Your question may refer to force= parameter in pspen: http://ahay.org/RSF/sfpspen.html You can try

vpconvert file.vpl format=eps force=y

      Recently I want to install the user interface(TK package) for Madagascar seismic processing software! But I didn't know where to download the TK package and  how to install it.
     So could you sent me the website to download the Tk package and some materials about how to install user interface for Madagascar?
      Thank you very much!

Sean,

Which platform are you using? Windows+Cygwin? Mac? Linux? The way of getting the package depends on that.

Sean,

It was my mistake that I sent the initial reply from an e-mail address that is not subscribed to the mailing list.

I do not have the competence to address the details you sent below. If third-party packages do not install correctly through yum, I recommend either asking for support from the CentOS comunity ( https://www.centos.org/forums/ ), or upgrading to CentOS 7, or another platform.

Best regards,
Nick

Hi,Ioan
I use Centos6.6 plarform.
I'm trying to install TKSU but fail. The tk and tcl package version is 8.5, but the tclx package version is 8.4. They did't match version num. So I use yum command to remove the tk/tcl 8.5 version. Then I download and install tk/tcl 8.4 version manually. But when I install the TKSU, it could't find tk/tcl package(it give the error:/usr/local/bin/tksu: line 45: exec: wish: not found).
Is there a way to solve the problem above?
Or did I install the tkmadagascar without install TKSU?
Thank you very much.

Sean,

I assume you refer to Tkinter, a Python package https://docs.python.org/2/library/tkinter.html
