Have anybody explored revision maintainance   of document inside/outside OpenOffice using svn or anyother ?
There exist some application/addon to add this feature.
Collaborative Editing and version maintainance of office document can be a great feature of openoffice/libreoffice.

What about using bzr or git and revise an odt file?

Great , ODT files are zipped container,
It does not matter much for a user if you give proper gui to maintain revision.

or, what about using google docs?

Google doc is online, I am talking about LAN.

I'm pretty familiar with bazaar, git and svn.
