The Africa Child Online Protection Program (ACOPP) will hold its official launch webinar on Tuesday, 16 June 2026 at 1:00 PM UTC, convening a distinguished panel of experts to discuss building safer digital spaces for African children and youth. The online event will feature Marcelle S. NGOUNOU Ngounou (ACOPP Coordinator), Nnenna Nwakanma (Chief Catalyst, PAATHI), Dr. Loy Ehlers III (Co-Founder, The Proudfoot Group), Ruth Babette Ngene (Director of Public Interest Technology, Electronic Frontier Foundation), and Paul Marie Petroch (Chief Social Policy, UNICEF).
This initiative—led by AfroLeadership in partnership with Fujitsu Futures, Impact, The Proudfoot Group, Turing Space, and UNICEF—seeks to advance digital rights, online safety, and child protection across the continent, through media and information literacy (MIL) platforms and protective technologies, among other resources.
