I just called Assemblymember Pellerin and Senator Cortese’s offices and requested their votes on key climate bills. It only took one minute for each call.

If you’d like to amplify, here are the scripts (you can find out who your reps are and their Sacramento phone numbers here: https://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov).

Do by 10:30 AM on Monday, 5/20: 

• Call your state Assemblymember’s Sacramento office with this script: 

“My name is ______ and I live in _____. As a constituent, I urge Assemblymember ____ to vote YES on ACA-16. This amendment to the state constitution would grant the people “the right to clean air and water and a healthy environment.” This is important to me because, as a [mother/aunt/youth], I want our state to strengthen environmental protections for current & future generations. Thank you.”  

Do by noon on Monday, 5/20: 

• Call your state Senator’s Sacramento office (Senator Cortese 916-651-4015) with this script: 

“My name is ______ and I live in _____. As a constituent, I urge Senator ____ to vote YES on two bills: SB 1374 (Becker) to restore solar access for schools, renters and farmers and SB 1182 (Gonzalez), the Climate Resilient Schools Act. This is important to me because, as a [mother/aunt/youth], I want schools to be more sustainable and prepared for climate catastrophes. Thank you.”  

Rather email than call? You can support solar for schools by sending your state Senator this email for SB 1374 (by Becker).
