Here's a new recipe perfected today:

Tahini Dressing

Delicious on a green salad
Use less liquid for a thick and yummy sauce or dip

In a blender combine until smooth and creamy:
1/2 c. tahini such as Once Again organic, available at Raley's and Sprouts (best price), most health food stores, Community Market & Oliver's (highest price)
1/2 c. olive oil such as Bragg's which is organic and not adulterated (same stores as tahini)|
1/2 c. water (omit or reduce for a sauce or dip)
1 whole lemon with peel and seeds removed
3 cloves of garlic (optional)
1 teaspoon powdered cumin (optional)
1 teaspoon powdered coriander (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt such as Himalayan pink salt
pinch of fresh ground black pepper (optional)
adjust seasonings to your taste

Options: cayenne pepper, white miso (omit salt), nutritional yeast, hot sauce, chipotle, adobo or other powdered chili pepper, powdered dulse instead of salt, non-dairy or dairy yogurt, milk or sour cream instead of water (for homemade sour cream blend 1/2c. cashews with 1/4c. water)

Tahini is like a nut butter but is made from sesame seeds. Sesame seeds are nutrition powerhouses, high in minerals, protein and omegas. Seeds such as sesame, flax, sunflower, chia, and pumpkin seeds offer high nutrients for everyone, and are especially good for men who are the seed makers. Men can increase their fertility and virility by eating these powerfully nutritious seeds.
Mother Nature gives us hints about what our foods are for. Pomegranates are good for ovaries. What do you see when you open a pomegranate? Walnuts look like brains. Look closely at your foods to connect with the contributions that they make to your health.
Men who eat a lot of soy frequently experience a decline in their fertility due to soy's phytoestrogens. Most people don't eat soy products in amounts that reduce their testosterone, but vegan men who eat a lot of soy products often have difficulty with childbearing.
Women, on the other hand, often consume soy such as soy milk, to reduce menopause and PMS symptoms.
People who did not grow up eating soy products often have trouble digesting it and it can play havoc on a high or low thyroid, for example. How do you feel after eating soy?
If you eat soy and soy products, be sure to only eat organic. Most non-organic soy is genetically modified and heavily sprayed with herbicides.

How do you use tahini in your diet?

Have you tried adding sesame seeds to a veggie stir fry?
Have you tried the MMC falafel recipe? This sauce would be good on falafels without the cumin and coriander.
How do you add seeds to your nutrition?
