However, I've also run into a wall trying to debug why I can't use Gnome
Evolution with OCW.
I tell Gnome Evolution to subscribe to:
webcal://localhost:3000/events/2009/schedule.ics
But Gnome Evolution ignores me and instead visits:
http://localhost/events/2009/proposals
I know this because the log emits this log output during the visit:
Parameters: {"event_id"=>"2009", "action"=>"index",
"controller"=>"proposals"}
...
Completed in 0.71692 (1 reqs/sec) | Rendering: 0.69491 (96%) | DB:
0.00901 (1%) | 200 OK [http://localhost/events/2009/proposals]
I don't recall telling Gnome Evolution to visit the proposals URL and
there are no other calendaring clients running.
Either OCW is doing something wrong, or Gnome Evolution has a bug where
it cached some earlier value and is reusing it, or WTF?

When creating a new calendar, there's a checkbox that tells it to use a
username. However, in my testing, it never actually sent the username to
the server.
Anyway, it seems that Gnome Evolution is very buggy and that no one
using it could reasonably expect it to work with OCW or anything else.
Therefore, I'm giving up on Gnome Evolution's issues. If you encounter
bugs that affect other clients, please report them.
