Hi OSBridge folks!

I'm hoping to get a little help promoting the CFP, keynote nominations, and office hours we're hosting to help people with their proposals asap. I'm reaching out to see if you can help.

I'm keeping track of who has been contacted in the spreadsheet linked below, so we don't end up with overlaps. I think everyone should be able to view the spreadsheet (let me know if you can't). You can coordinate with Chris (CCed) and me to update the spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet has some suggestions, but feel free to reach out to any groups you think might be interested. This can include local groups, groups in other cities, or national/global organizations.

Below is a modified example of an outreach email I sent to the Devchix mailing list if you want a starting place. You can also feel free to write up something in your own style.

Thanks,
- Julie

Hi [ORGANIZATION NAME]!

I'm one of the volunteers for Open Source Bridge this year and wanted to reach out to y'all about speaking at the conference. Open Source Bridge will take place June 21-24, 2016 in Portland, OR.

Open Source Bridge’s purpose is to gather a diverse citizenry and inspire one another to make the world a better place through open source technology and open culture principles. We are looking for people from all backgrounds and areas of experience to submit talk proposals. We’d love to hear about software, hardware, design, data, journalism, community, and more. Your starting point could be web development, project management, open hardware engineering, security, quality assurance, data visualization, user experience, or one of many other topics.

We know submitting a proposal to a conference can be intimidating, especially for newer speakers. We want to help support people, so they feel comfortable submitting a talk. To that end, we put together some office hours and resources to help

Please let me know if you have any questions, and I'll do my best to help out. Below are a bunch of links with more information. Thanks!
