pretty much this entire leauge is under discussion right now.  we have to see who is serious about it ( i think we are narrowing down the names)  and then lock it down.   Decisions must be made.  pong must be played! stats must be captured. stats must be posted. the site shall be updated. the table shall be cleaned. the balls will be repaired.  the beer should be cold. the music should be good. the championship shall be intense. the pre-season shall be fun! the skills shall increase. the discussions will be intense. the beer will drip on the floor. the players will get loud. the music will get loud. the beer will get loud. the loud will get loud.

I am getting a list of who is in the league and we are making a schedule so you play each person in a series of three one on ones and the top seed and the bottom seed from the previous week are placed in a doubles game. that way we can detirmine who is the best player overall playing against everyone. or something like that. I vote for tuesdays just because there is nothing good on tv that night

I like that idea very much.  That sounds great for balancing teams.

 

As for basing the schedule of something as important and fun as the OSBPL, around TV, I think that is ridiculous.  Espically when all that crap can be taped via DVR and viewed at a later time!

 

TV is evil, and the corporate schedules should not run peoples lives!  I stand strong on this issue, always have.

Im going to put the cap of the league on for registration ends on saturday for sunday I will be making the season. Let people know to join the group tell bug for anyone who is not in the group will not be included in the season.

CJ - I think the idea of each player playing each player three times, then matching teams with best player / worst player and so on is an excellent system.    Balancing out the league.   Lets get this rolling!

We already dabbled with the idea of keeping tons of stats.  Basicly it is just going to become to sloppy...espically when we are all sloppy.  We would have to hire a sober person to keep track of our shots, etc.

 

With that money, being paid at a said $5/hr, we could all put the money towards the kegerator.  But we have that nifty little icebox with the clear door, capable of handling hundreds of beers.

 

BYOB is a must, its like bringing your own shoes and bowling ball to the alley....

true....but a kegerator under the pong table with the tap mounted along the edge of the pong table itself....mmm....the freshest, coldest, and...least traveled beer for beer pong....tasty...it will also serve to speed the games with an active on site reloading apparatus.
