Q1)  If I pull the current master branch (on 9/1/23, commit b250c9b4e9) will that be equivalent to 2.13.0, or do I need to test with the staging build linked above?

Q2)  The release notes for Xtext 2.30.0 say it's a maintenance release for 2023_03.  Did you have any issues with the release?

1 - I prefer if folks download and test a staged build. There are situation where something could be missing (e.g., help text, a menu entry, ...) from the build that is present in the workspace, so running from source won't find such issues.
2 - I had no problems with Xtext 2.30.
