Hi,

I'm a new user of the OSATE tool. I installed the tool from windows package, I followed the tutorial on the speed regulation and I rebuilt the model. Unfortunatly, I'm not able to run any analysis (all items of the Analyses menu are grayed).
What is the correct way to activate those Analysis? Thanks.

Philippe

Which version of OSATE are you using?
Did you select an instance model in the navigator before trying to run an analysis?

Hi. I am also a new user and I am having the same problem. Can someone please specify how to run the analysis. A step by step guide would be really helpful. Thanks.

Also I have installed Version 2.3.3 which is the latest version available.

Can you please describe in more detail what you are trying to do? In general you must instantiate a component implementation, select the instance model, and run an analysis.

So I bought the book, "Model-Based Engineering with AADL." On page 46 you finish your first AADL Project script. It then says, "From the top-level system implementation of this declarative model you create a system instance model and analyze it with the OSATE scheduler and scheduling analysis plug-in." But when I go to the top drop down menu of, 'Analysis -> Timing -> Bind and Schedule Threads, etc' , All of the options in the menu after Timing are grey and do not work.

The book does not go into the specifics of how to run the analysis. I have included a photo so you can see what I am talking about.

Also, are there other plugs ins that I need to install so that the analysis will work?

You don't need additional plugins.

Did you create an instance model before trying the analysis? If you are not sure how to do that, open the help browser with  Help -> Help Contents and read the Getting Started section under OSATE Core Documentation.

No I wasn't doing that. I figured it out thanks. For anyone who ever needs this information in the future this is how you instantiate a model.

Go to the Outline window on the right hand side of OSATE.
Right click the system implementation in the Outline window.
Click on instantiate.
After this you should be able to run analysis.
