The TZ-45 was manufactured by a stamped process and was then welded together with a simple finish applied. The blowback-operation was similar to other submachine guns at the time, though the return spring differed as it was assembled around a telescoping guide rod. A muzzle brake was fitted to the firearm, and the shoulder stock of the weapon was formed out of steel rods that slid alongside the receiver when retracted.
So, I’m seeing a tiny bit of blowback to the In-and-Out list I published in Wednesday’s newsletter. Apparently, I have struck a nerve by declaring tinned fish, the espresso martini, and the country of Italy as being “Out.”
The flourishing retail industry around cannabis light -- weed so non-buzzy, it's essentially the decaf coffee of marijuana -- surfaced as an unintended by-product of a law meant to restore Italy as a top producer of industrial hemp. Now, storefronts peddling chemically ineffective hemp flowers in varieties such as "Chill Haus" and "Black Buddha" are getting blowback some Italians fear will nip business in the bud.
At the time, Wu had weathered her first major snowstorm in office and was receiving some blowback on her mandate for all city employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, including from the local firefighters union.
The Villar Perosa was a delayed blowback-operated submachine gun consisting of twin receivers joined together side-by-side. Each receiver operated independently and were not mechanically interconnected; they were required to be loaded and cocked separately. The trigger mechanism consisted of a pair of spade grips with button triggers and safety latches. The magazines of the Villar Perosa featured slits in their rears that allowed the user to check how many bullets were left. Charging the weapons was done by pulling dual cranks that stuck up from the right side of each receiver; pulling those cranks pushed back on both charging handles, charging the gun in the process.
A true locked breech design. Breechbolt locking surfaces separates from the receiver with same lenght from the pivot point, from beginning to end and not with an increased value as occured in the delayed blowback samples. Besides, lever delay needs a receiver pivot point to effectively acceralate the bolt carrier. Chamber grooves should be provided to match the velocity with the lesser mass with higher speed of extracting empty case with higher mass with acceralating slide.
Delayed blowback is my take too; I do not see much of inertia function in it. As you state correctly, the lock surface angle is critical. Once the breech piece raises, whole slide group is ready to move.
To muddy the 918 Ultra waters further, I can confirm that the B82 is actually not a direct blowback. I currently own a B82 and I have previously owned a B76, and the internal mechanism is identical.
