Hi Geoff,

 

do we have an ETA on a new version of the breakfast briefing event flyer etc? Reason I ask is that Ingres UK marketing has just asked me if they can distribute anything to help promote this.

 

Ingres is running a series of 'C-level Round Tables' around the country focussed on educating BigCo about the massive cost savings offered by open source implementation (not purely Ingres - covers OS, middleware, package & clientside - Linux/JBOSS/Spring/Mule/Jasper/Pentaho/SugarCRM/Intacct etc). 

 

Essentially it's an event to bring together decision makers, and expose the business practices of the big proprietary vendors - ratchet, carve&replace. peak-load pricing, core/cpu pricing, lock-in etc. We have some senior ex-proprietary vendor sales heads who will be there to tell all - poachers turned gamekeepers who used to be with BEA, Oracle & Sybase.

 

Unfortunately there is not one scheduled for Yorkshire/Humber yet, but they would like to promote our OS4B event to local businesses when telemarketing make the follow up calls. The response from CxOs has been v. promising BTW.

 

I know it's early days but do we have any promo materials or website links I should forward?
