Web Programmer
Description
* Key consultant on Ruby based projects including programming of new
website components
* Identify methods to improve efficiency via optimizing database
procedures and structure
* Develop and maintain database structures for new product verticals
* Manage technology relationships with layout optimization vendors and
third party field verifiers
* Code efficient database procedures and create schema diagrams
* Attend status meetings with offshore management teams
* Perform updates and maintenance of administrative sites
* Work with a team programming the front end and back end for multiple
projects
* Perform database queries to supplement for auditing performance of
web analytic tools
* Work with business and IT teams to define reporting objectives,
project success metrics, and system metrics and design reports to meet
those objectives
Required Skills:
* Expert knowledge of Ruby and XML
* Expert knowledge of MySQL, MS-SQL, and PostgreSQL
* Expert knowledge in PHP is a plus
* Experience in web development with exposure to HTML and Javascript
* Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Able to breakdown high level reporting objectives into its
underlying data requirements
* Background in math, computer science, or similar quantitative skills
* Experience with repositories, namely SVN is a plus
