Small but rapidly growing mobile and web software Company based in
Cape Canaveral, FL, is seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails developer
to fill a key development role.  Vital to success will be ability for
this individual to navigate the Rails framework to develop front to
back applications for consumers.  Candidate must have a strong work
ethic, flexibility; and be ready, willing, and able to embrace a
“Mission Accomplishment” mindset.

live.  Both internal and external projects are simultaneously underway
serving both the private and public sectors.  At the end of the day,
the goal of the Company is to help our clients to achieve their goals
while building long-term relationships.  It is of paramount importance
to be the “go-to” development team for all of our clients’ needs.

Reporting to the Company founder and President, the Rails Developer is
responsible for implementing and refining applications designs to
include front end presentation and back end support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Front end interface design and implementation

Back end implementation based on schematics

Coordinate with other team members and be ready to step into a
leadership position at any time

Be able to self-manage and be results oriented

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in computer technology field or equivalent, relevant
training/experience

2 - 4 years of pertinent development experience required


Proven knowledge of Ruby on Rails as it pertains to web applications
development


Understanding of MVC design pattern “the Rails way”


Experience with Photoshop / Illustrator for graphics design


Ability to implement design with CSS and HTML

Knowledge of relational database design as it pertains to application
development


Knowledge of Ruby as it pertains to building application logic for web
applications

Understanding of social media, web billing, and how to integrate them
into an application

Able to build an application “front to back” in Rails as needed

Desirable:
Knowledge of AJAX frameworks, web services and / or Flash a plus
Experience designing large-scale web / e-commerce applications in
Rails
Experience with mobile development, specifically mobile web views and
RPC from native mobile using Rails
