DEFORMITY WRIST

[CHERRY KOVOOR]

Dear Friends

16 yr old girl- Had growth arrest radius- operated in 2018 for deformity which has RECURRED. She also has 4 cm shortening  for which she wanted lengthening but I managed to dissuade her.  She now wants the deformity corrected.

ROM wrist- DF=45 deg, PF=90deg ,RD & UD= 20each, full pronation-supination

X-rays show volar tilt of the distal 1/3 radius

My plan is volar approach, opening wedge osteotomy, plate fixation  with graft

 

Attaching clinical pics and x-rays.

Looking forward to opinions

Looks like a Madelung to me.

Get an MRI.
