Dear Friends
5 month old boy- atypical very rigid ctev
Tenotomy done 4/9/2021 and followed by post tenotomy casts by modified Ponseti casts[ trying to dorsiflex forefoot cavus]
Only correction of foot adduction to neutral achived
Equinus remains rigid. We took x-rays and were rather stunned to see severe cavus almost 70 degrees and more on right
What can be done now,
Should I now give an custom made alkathine splint and wait and later do SOFT tissude distraction with JESS/ ILIZAROV OR go for a soft tissue release which I am apprehensive to do as the amount of correction obtained may not be great and scarring adds to further rigidity
Attaching x-rays and clinical pics
