Dear Brothers in Christ,
Your prayers, and your forgiveness!
I hope that all is well with you and your families and communities.
It will be a great blessing if you would join us for the vespers on Sunday at 6pm.
I'm wearing purple.
Please let me know if you are able to come.

Love in Christ,
Fr. Peter

Everyone knows about the ecclesiastical problems of our age. I want to tell you all that my main reason for not coming is not that. Of course, I obey my bishop, as you obey yours, but the reason I have stopped coming to the Vespers is mainly exhaustion. With prison ministry and other things, I can rarely sit still, and we serve Sunday Vespers for the benefit of our faithful, who otherwise would not see it. Sunday evening is the only evening I actually do a little bit of nothing, and we have frequent family dinners, etc. You may disagree with my approach, and I am not offended, and beg that you not be offended with me. You may also disagree with the approach of  my bishops, but disobedience never is positive. I suppose I could come and not serve, but I need the time. Forgive me.
