Orthanc and Ginkgo CADx are up and running on the same machine (localhost). PACS Q/R works in Ginkgo. Selecting "Download Study" from query results works if the Modality is US (ultrasound). If the Modality is DX (digital X-ray), however, the download fails with an error, "Error downloading study: Exception in component GIL/PACS: Failed: Attached is the Ginkgo log snippet for an attempt to download a DX study.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

It looks like Ginkgo CADx is using DCMTK to connect to Orthanc.  Have you tried to move the study with movescu command instead of Ginkgo CADx ?

If it works with movescu, please contact the Ginkgo CADx support.  If it does not, please provide the full Ginkgo CADx logs, full Orthanc verbose logs and eventually a sample file.

Hello,

As a complement to Alain's answer, there is a FAQ entry in the Orthanc Book about configuring Q/R in Ginkgo CADx:

Thanks, Sébastien.  I followed that illustration.  What's odd is that we can search and find DICOM images stored on the Orthanc server with Ginkgo-CADx.  And we can move/view ultrasound images from Orthanc to/in Ginkgo-CADx.  But requests to move/view "DX" images found fail. The verbose Orthanc log did not shed any light on the issue.  I couldn't find a support forum for Ginkgo-CADx.  Do you know anyone to that can help me with Ginkgo-CADx?

John

The issue appears to be that our DX .dcm files are jpeg2000 image files and Ginkgo CADx pukes on them. It would be nice if Ginkgo gave us an error message that caught the problem and gave meaningful data.
