Selecting/Exporting multiple patients or entire database

I've had a good look through the forum messages and don't see this one answered anywhere. 

We have a small medical practice that generates about 50 patient's worth of data (2-3 images each) per day, and I'd like to use Orthanc as a temporary server to store the images coming off our of x-ray machines. 

From there I would like to periodically export them to Oxirix for longer term storage and viewing. 

Looking at Orthanc Explorer, it seems you only have the ability to view/send/delete one patient's data at a time. That would be very painful for hundreds/thousands of cases!

Is there a way to select multiple patients, or even the entire database, and export to an external drive, or to another DICOM node (i.e. Osirix)?

Dear Craig,

Even if selecting multiple patients is not possible with the built-in GUI (aka. "Orthanc Explorer"), you can of course implement this feature on the top of Orthanc, at least by 2 different means:

• You can develop an alternative GUI that is dedicated to your needs, and that uses the REST API from JavaScript. It is even possible to extend the built-in GUI by creating a C++ plugin, so that all the features are smoothly integrated for the end user.
• You can create a back-end script that uses the REST API and that is continuously triggered (e.g. with as a crontab job). The distribution of Orthanc includes many such sample scripts written in Python (in the folder "Resources/Samples/Python"). The following scripts might be of special interest to you:
